Solar-Diesel Hybrid VW Microbus – concept car

I ran across a video on the Verdier Bus on YouTube, and had to google to find out more about what it is. Turns out it’s a concept car – a design firm put it together and it won a Special Prize from the Jury at the Caravaning Design Award 2006/2007. If you’re buying your first car, you may start exploring these used cars in el cajon. You can also visit the used cars in Rialto with a wide selection of premium quality pre-owned cars.

The Website for the Verdier, and an article about it.

This really tripped my trigger – I was really excited about the Microbus back when VW was proposing a new concept to be released in 2007. Then VW killed off that idea. This idea, though – solar powered, tons of cool features – it’s almost the perfect vehicle. You can also check solar denver from here!  Too bad it would cost $69,000. Maybe if I won the lottery!

Also – check out this cool video of Vintage Microbus interiors!

Diverticulitis

Yes, I’m specializing in getting diseases (Diverticulitis, Pleurisy) that sound like things your great-grandma suffered from back in the 1800s.
I plan on getting consumption next, followed by typhoid. Then I’ll start talking about my Sciatica. This is ridiculous.
I spent the night in the hospital; Stephanie took me there after work because I had severe abdominal pain. I was sure it was a kidney stone, but was also afraid it was related to my heart cath. Neither, it turned out. They kept me to put me on an IV drip with antibiotics.
Unfortunately, some of the stuff we’ve been doing to eat more healthily probably caused this infection – we’ve been eating tons of high fiber, nuts and berries, strawberries with seeds, whole grain cereals, raw foods, stuff that gets stuck in my colon that I can’t process.
I used to think you were funny, irony, but now I’m going to kick your ass.
The fun never stops, does it?
One minute, you’re patting yourself on the back for eating like a nutritionist’s dream, and the next, you’re flat on your back with an IV in your arm, cursing every fiber-rich bite.
Abdominal pain has a special way of making you question all your life choices, from that extra handful of almonds to the decision not to just stick to bland, easily digestible foods.
And when things get bad enough, sometimes the only way forward involves a not-so-pleasant detour—like an NG tube placement.
Nothing says “I’ve had better days” like a tube snaking down your nose while you try not to gag. But hey, at least it gets the job done.
When the gut goes rogue, intervention is inevitable, and sometimes that means taking drastic steps to relieve pressure, drain fluids, or just give your system a break.
The process isn’t exactly a spa treatment, but it beats the alternative of suffering through unrelenting pain while your insides wage war against you.
If you ever find yourself in this delightful predicament, visit us at the land of antibiotics, IV fluids, and medical-grade discomfort.
Because when it comes to stubborn abdominal issues, sometimes the best solution is to check your dignity at the hospital door and let modern medicine work its magic—NG tube and all.

Grace Kelly Color Palette
Grace Kelly Color Palette

I could be brown
I could be blue
I could be violet sky
I could be hurtful
I could be purple
I could be anything you like
Gotta be green
Gotta be mean
Gotta be everything more
Why don’t you like me?
Why don’t you like me?
Why don’t you walk out the door!

Books I’m In the Middle Of…

Every once it a while I can’t decide what to read, so I pick up more than one book and I have several of them halfway done; this is one of those times.
Sword of the Guardian: A Legend of Ithyria (Legends of Ithyria)
by Merry Shannon
Actually, I finished this cheesy lesbian fantasy fiction novel, but I haven’t written a review of it yet.
YOU: The Owner’s Manual: An Insider’s Guide to the Body that Will Make You Healthier and Younger
by Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet Oz
I put this down while I was waiting to have my cardiac catheterization, because it was freaking me out to read about health stuff. Now that I know my results are good, I can pick this back up.
The Secret History of the Pink Carnation
by Lauren Willig
Also deeply cheesy, but light-hearted fun, which is what I needed to read.
Route 66 Adventure Handbook: Updated and Expanded Third Edition
by Drew Knowles
Planning our trip. This was updated in 2006, so it has a lot of new information.

Cardiac Catheterization – good news

  • Post author:

My cardiac catheterization went really well today. We found out that my arteries are clear and functioning great, and my heart’s in good shape. I have high blood pressure, which I will now be taking medication for. And we were already planning a heart-healthy nutrition and exercise program, so we’re already doing the right thing.
My bouts with pleurisy are still a mystery. But ruling out my heart as the source was a major relief. I see an allergist on Monday to hopefully narrow down the suspects further. In all, I’m very, very happy with the results of today.
