I’m thinking of obtaining a new self-propelled vehicle of some kind, so I’m making notes on places I need to check out.

Matthew’s Bicycles is also highly regarded. I’ve found the customer service to be much better than Bicycle Garage Indy. http://www.matthewsbikes.com/default_flash.htm
Also try BikeLine. There’s one in Broad Ripple and they just opened a new location downtown on Mass Ave.
We bought our bikes at Circle City. The service is good, and the prices are right. Circle City is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and Epler (just go south on Penn – Epler is just south of Thompson Road). Oh, and while you’re down there, stop into Flap Jack’s, which is in the old Hardee’s before you get to Thompson road, for breakfast or lunch.
Since we don’t have a truck, I rode my new bike to our house in the Garfield Park South neighborhood.
