I was unaware of this until now, but January 8th through the 12th is National De-Lurking Week on ye old internets-blog-web-sphere-tubey thingy.
That means if you’re reading this post but you never comment on the site, you’re supposed to drop by to say hi. This means you. Yeah, I see you, right there.

I just thought I’d point out that your “remember personal info” checkbox doesn’t work. It never remembers me – and holds all my comments for permission (even though the page says the first comment only will be held). So, technically – I never comment on the site according to the blog software. Therefore, I felt compelled to say – hi. 🙂

Weird — the checkbox works for me. It holds all my comments for permission, though.

    Hello!
I think this site has some really interesting views and tidbits of minutiae that fascinate me. I’ve picked up good books and great websites.
Thanks for taking the time to work on this. I wish I had the same gumption!

The check box works for me, as well. The holding for comments thing is because I have some pretty tight spam control on the comments. I’ve tried tweaking the settings to let more of my friends through, but it lets too much junk in and I have to manage it too much. I don’t like to have spam comments out there when I’m at work and don’t have time to fix them. I need to do the latest upgrade, because the comments control is better.

Great blog. I found it a few weeks back. I’m especially fond of your Big Things photos.
