Karl and Maggie (who just got married the other day) are moving to Green Bay tomorrow. 🙁
I stopped by their house at lunch to say goodbye, and also to get a couple of cases of beer they had in the fridge, and Karl’s complete beer brewing kit. So I have everything I need to make my own beer. At home. So, guess what my new winter hobby is? Of course, I couldn’t possibly drink all this beer myself. That’s right… this is where you come in. You have to come over to my house and drink the beer. I know it’s a difficult job, but someone has to do it.
Now I really have to get the living room done in short order so I can have a party.

This weekend was BUSY. Friday night was girls game night, Saturday night was the Mutual Friends AutumnFest, and Sunday Deb helped me build a cellar door. DEB RULES, by the way. She kicked ass on the door. I’ll have photos of the work and the door up soon. I have to do some finishing work; adding the hinges and the door handle, and supporting brackets underneath. Then I’ll need to open the door that goes into the house, and clean up the drywall… wait, I’m sensing a new to do list coming on….

I’m going to finish working on my living room, and open up the back door for entry and exit. Then I’m going to close off the extra entry doors and make them back into windows. Hopefully I’ll have all this done by spring, because at that point I’m going to put the house on the market and move.

So you may be aware that I live right nearby the new Talbott Street Bar. Because of the noise and traffic there, I didn’t get much sleep last night, and I have so much work to do in the yard today.
