I love this radio station… I’ve been listening to it pretty constantly streaming over the net. It kicks butt. I’m figuring out how to stream it over my regular stereo at home…
Weekend Update 2004-04-06
Friday night I bought the digital camera that I had been looking at. It kicks ass. Saturday I took Spike up to visit my mom and see my niece. He had fun, and was completely tired out by the experience. Sunday Dan and Doug and Melissa and I went out to lunch and went shopping. Yeah! I got some cool shirts. We were going to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but Doug went home to nap and the rest of us ended up poking around a couple of used furniture/antique malls instead.

It’s Monday, so it’s time for the Top Ten Conservative Idiots (No. 150) courtesy of Democratic Underground. I haven’t posted about this list for a while, but this week there are so many boneheaded Republican things to cover that it’s easier to let them do it.
Spring Shopping
La la la… I love shopping. Well, when I can buy stuff, that is. Not when I can only look and not buy., as was the case for the past year or so. I bought several pairs of cargo shorts from OldNavy.com and two pairs from gap.com. It’s easier to buy pants online because they always have my size. I’ve been shopping at lunch twice this week, and this weekend I’m going shopping with Dan and Doug and Melissa. Woo hoo. I think I might also invest in a new digital camera, before I go on my late April road trip.
Kerry campaign raises $43 million in quarter
Sen. John Kerry will announce today that his presidential campaign has raised more than $43 million in the first three months of this year, smashing Democratic Party records and signaling a party-wide fund-raising resurgence for Democrats, according to top party officials.
Speaking of Survivor…
I completely forgot to blog that we saw Rupert from Survivor at P.F. Chang’s on Wednesday at lunch. There were a bunch of us there from work, and he came in and sat at the bar. A few minutes later his friends came in and sat with him. I completely refrained from running over to him and shouting “Rupert! Rupert!” Aren’t I nice?
SURVIVOR SOUTHERN STYLE
Several southern TV stations are joining together and are planning to do their own Survivor show, entitled “Survivor: Southern Style.”
Rory & Paris, sitting in a tree…
Apparently, on the April 13th episode of Gilmore Girls, the “Spring Break: Gilmore Girls Gone Wild” episode, Rory and Paris kiss. Finally! How much fan fiction do people have to write before they figure out what everyone really wants to see?
Update: of course it was played off as an experiment that Paris was doing, and ended up being about the male gaze anyway.
